George Gordon, President
Western Annuity Services, Inc. (WASI) was established by George Gordon in 1976. After service in the United States Army, George received a BS degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. He subsequently worked as a sales manager with Savin Business Machines for 2 years, then as a pension trust consultant with Employee Benefit Consultants and Corporate Tax Staging for 4 years. He formed and operated Western Annuity Services as president of the firm. WASI was formally incorporated in the State of California in 1976. George has been affiliated with Great West Life, Equitable Life, Investors Brokerage Services, Inc., Largent Financial Services and Egan & Co. through the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). George successfully passed the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Series 2 General Securities exam in 1993 and has been licensed by the California Department of Insurance to transact insurance since 1969 and variable annuity contracts since 1972.
John Franzese, Senior Vice President
After service with the United States Marine Corp, John received a BA degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University in 1961. After working for more than 30 years in management and executive positions in the contract furnishings industry, including Herman Miller, Sunar-Hauserman, Panel Concepts, Plan Hold and Pacific Condi, John joined WASI in 1995. John is affiliated with Western National Life and Great American Life, is licensed by the California Department of Insurance, and has successfully passed the National Assocation of Securities Dealers (NASD) Series 2 General Securities non-member examination in 1996.
Renee Conrady, Vice President/Investment Advisor Associate
Renee received her BA degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1994. Starting with WASI in 2000 as Head Administrator, Renee successfully passed the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Examination in August 2004.
